for a couple of months now my car's been making a siren like noise from the front nearside of the engine (ish) only when spooling up at low speed's (only time I can hear it cause of the decat). It's a sound like blowing over a bottle top. Don't say it's the spool up cause I've been driving it long enough to eliminate that point.
The car is running about 17PSI held but I thought the standard DV was ok at that pressure.

Any Ideas

Craig.

"Siren"? You mean the pitch changes? If so, it's unlikely to be the dump valve, as when these leak the noise is normally constant pitch.

it changes with boost pressure so I'm pretty sure it's the DV.

Might be worth paying attention to hoses and other bits n pieces just in case. The few occasions I've seen a leaking DV, the pitch of the noise stayed constant - it was the volume that changed with boost pressure.

this sounds like the issue i'm having...

high pitched whine from engine when cold (when its warm and been on boost a few times its gone),

While cold, when spooling up noise gets quieter, when I drop under 3,000rpm noise gets louder (noise is like having a old TV set on standby mode, sorta electrical sound)..

If that makes sense...
