Thought this may be of some interest. Had my MY99 RB5 MOT'd last week and the testing station kindly ran the test twice (one fully decated, the 2nd with just the OE centre) to see how the results compared.

My car's spec is AE801 ECU, TSL downpipe, TSL centre and STI backbox. Car runs standard air-filter and no engine mods.

1st run (full decat)

As you can see it's well over the limits.

2nd run (OE centre section)

Now it's well under and a easy pass. Interesting thing is the centre wasn't fitted to my car, it was just stuffed onto the end of the tailpipe and the probe was stuck into the centre.

Nice and quick and easy

Stefan

This beats the **** outa me
I tried a dry run through with my import 96MY i used to own.
It would have still failed with just the OE centre bolted back in and i had to refit the OE DP before it passed.
In hindsight, maybe my lambda was stuffed causing over fueling on idle
It certainly seemed to drink it.
