if you don`t like lag, a VF24 is your best bet. if you don`t mind lag and you want some nice top-end go for a VF23.
I would say that on a MY93 WRX you would need to get the fuelling tested, you might risk to run it lean and cause damage. That will depend on how your ECU is set, in my experience some are 100% while others tend to run lean. The best is to get a specialist that can tune it for you on a rolling road dyno with testing equipment for the exhaust gas/mapping software for the ECU.
