Ecu Tek 2.5 questions
I've currently got some people interested in my TEK2.5 ecu and have a few questions?
1. How easy is it to swap ecu's?
2. If a buyer was to put it on an otherwise standard MY99/00 would it be fine or would it overboost, etc???
Cheers to JB who has already assisted me by answering some questions

1. Swap ECUs - if same plugs, dead easy - remove n/side footwell trim and carpet, 4 electrical plugs ( depends on model ?) 4 screws for ecu cover, 3 screws for ecu itself and reverse for new ECU.
2. Dunno .. I would guess it would be ok, no reason it would suddenly overboost ... unless mapped for say a TD04 and put on a TD05 car etc. ??

Re: No.2 won't it try to hit a target of 1.22bar through a fully catted up car and this overheat and det?
How do you know which model will have which pins? Is there a difference between MY99 and MY00? Where can I get a connector to fit both types?

i always thought the tek 2.5 was a mod done for peeps who had all the cats off their car and induction, so there was extra power there for all the peeps who did not have time for the tek 3 but still wanted a better performance, think its only tek3 which is car related
I would only suggest fitting this ECU if indeed most of the breathing is done. Some cars will overboost if they overboost as standard so that should be sorted first. Can't answer any more as I am going away on holiday.
