In the process of fitting my new HKS DP EGT sensor was broken. Guess it must be common problem as its very weak and badly stuck in DP. Have ordered a new one but till it arrives drive car without EGT sensor only blocked hole with bolt.
Does ECU receive input from sensor and is it some danger to drive car like that?

Put a 2,2Kohm resistor in place of the EGT sensor thus you'll don't have any problem.

Been running an MY01 WRX for several months now with a knackered EGT sensor and have noticed no difference in the way the car perfoms.

Depending on how badly knackered it is, it may make no difference or it may put the car in limp home mode.

The 2.2kŁ resistor should sort it permanently.
