Is my turbo broken?
I know this is in the wrong section folks, but i think my beloved sccob is broke.
I haave just had a new clutch kit fitted (thanks to the guys in here who advised me) and when i drove it home all was well.
When i was driving home from my mates tonight, i seemed to have lost all power.
It hard to explain, but when it gets to 3500rpm, she tries to boost, but all i get is a hissing noise (no dump valve fitted) and lods of popping from the exhaust.
The car is standard except a full scoobysport exhaust and mongoose downpipe.
Please advise, as it was fine when it went into the garage.
All help appreciated!
David

Now that sounds like an air leak. Check the large diameter hoses in the bay and see if one has come off. Maybe they undid some during the clutch fitting and did not do it up properly. Don't worry, its almost certainly not somthing serious.
I have similar problem a couple of weeks ago. When the rev counter reaches 900-3900 rpm is alright, but when it gets beyond 4000 rpm, my scooby lost boost and i also heared explosion sounds and smelled smokes. It is really scared of me. But after a short rest and re-drive her, everything goes fine. So I thought it is not a big problem.
Is there any scooby guru know what actually happened?
Cheers
