Mods, please don't move this. I need an answer tonight and the ice section doesn't get many views.

Can anyone tell me the size of speakers that fit in the rear shelf of an STI5 TypeR? (possibly the same as the 4 door)

I have managed to have a quick look and they appear to be a very odd shape. Speakers have not been there before so the carpet is still full.

Thanks

Well I've got a MY00 4 door and fitted 6x9's from the underside with the use of a spacer, can then use standard speaker grills and no additional cutting of the metal shelf is required.

With an Ra though don't know if theres anything beneath the metal shelf which gets in the way ?

Cheers

Mark

I have fitted 6x9 3 ways in the holes in parcel shelf but i needed to persuade the holes a bit bigger with a jigsaw , god did i feel like a freekin' butcher ...they fitted ok though any old 6x9 's will fit if you take this approach

a slightly less bloody approach is to mount the speakers underneath the holes. It's a lot more stealthy and can't possibly weaken the structural integrity of your rear bulkhead
