I have a funny squealing noise coming from the front O/S wheel, it doesn't do it all the time and usually starts when I get the speed up to around 70+mph. As the speed decreases the noise slows down as if something is rubbing. I also get a little crackle of sound as I tune the car on hard lock. There is no change to the sound when the brake peddle is applied or I change gear. I've had the garage check it out and there is nothing obvious, the garage say their best guess is the outer drive shaft joint. Anyone have any ideas? Does this sound right. The car is a STI V5, does this have the same part as a UK MY99?

Any help much appreciated

Paul

Thanks mate, have you tried any of the Subaru breakers?

Anyone else have any ideas?

Cheers
