FS: 1988 Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth RWD "E" Reg £2,250
As briefly mentioned in the post where I'm trying to sell my Impreza RA:
Must sell:
1988 "E" Rear Wheel Drive Sapphire RS Cosworth
Mercury Gray
Approx 125,000
Stage 1 - approx 285bhp with print out
Taxed until end of January 2004
MOT until October 15th 2003
Solid, but untidy both inside and out
HPI Clear
Thatcham 1 Alarm/Immobiliser
I basically got striped up when I bought it and paid too much.
Then the head gasket went!
So, having just been honest about the condition, the positives are:
New battery
Head skimmed
Group A gasket set fitted (not just the head gasket, but most of the engine gaskets/seals)
New Discs and Pads
Calipers reconditioned
Eibach lowering springs
Koni adjustable (damping rate) suspension
All work commissioned by me and came to about 75% of what I'm now asking for the car.
In addition, I recently bought a set of 5 original Cosworth Alloys, some with almost new tyres, which will be thrown in.
The car is currently wearing different style alloys.
The price reflects my need to sell quickly and my lack of time to market properly.
You would expect to pay £2,250 for an untidy car... the work which I have undertaken already should be seen as a major free bonus.
Idea for somewone with some time and skill, but does drive very well as is, and if you cleaned it, it would look nice from about 10 feet away
Car is in Essex
Cheers
Richard

You're a funny guy!
Sorry, no pics, but the car is solid, with a bit of rust appearing in non-critical areas, usual bumpers not aligned properly, odd little dimple but no dents or accident damage.
The car has had a respray, the quality of which is variable... the actual respray is not too bad, but the preparation was lousy.
The interior is dirty with some tears to the seats, but again is all there.
I think it is very competitively priced, even taking this into account.
Anyway, you were asking about the RA.....

Cheers
Rich

your post probably crossed with mine (see above)
no pics afraid, but I've given more details above.
Underneath, the car is very clean and solid and has had some kind of sealant treatment.
Any imperfections are of a cosmetic nature, but as I say it IS untidy and I wouldn't lure anyone along to view it by giving them a false impression.
Hope this helps.

yikes, I reckon an RS specialist would give you the asking price, it's worth that to strip for parts alone. There's one in North Yorks, and another near Derby, check out the Passionford website, they have wanted ads on there.
