Having had six great trouble free months with my 03WRX, I have got the tuning bug and would like to fit a PPP kit. After many phone calls to Subaru UK/Subaru dealers the bottom line appears to be "can't fit a ppp kit unless the car is registered with Subaru U.K." I have since found out that the car was imported from Cyprus and as it's a non european country Subaru U.K. wont recognise. What's the deal here - I'm not concerned about warranty issues so surely if I sign a disclaimer Prodrive could supply? Is there anyway around this beaurocratic nonsense?

Good luck if you find one. I'd approach prodrive directly and ask politely.

As your not bothered about your warranty I would look at an Ecutek remap with a new exhaust system, this will work out cheaper than the PPP aswell. See www.ecutek.com

I've looked into the ECUTEK and possibly a Milltek free flow cat system, Litchfield imports offer this as apackage for £1800, I can get the PPP fitted for £1600 if I could find a supplier! Who's the best tuner to approach in the wiltshire area - anybody have experience of Litchfield?

You'll be able to get an EcuTek remap and good exhaust system for less than £1800 if you broaden your search a bit. This option will result in better performance than the PPP, so even it it does end up costing a bit more, it'd be worth it.

The non-PPP route will also give you a better sounding exhaust as the PPP exhaust is relatively quiet compared to an Afterburner/Blitz/etc. You can certainly get a non-PPP remap and exhaust for less than the PPP cost if you shop around.
