Just been having a look under my car and noticed the exhaust being Japanese, like my M reg WRX, the make is Kakimoto and it's a straight through stainless, anybody know anything about them?

There must be a few different types of Kakimoto. Externally they do look very good quality, but on one that I cut up, internally it was a different story.
The system was 3", but when I cut up the 2 centre boxes ( very small ) they were very strange inside. Small lumps protruding into the exhaust flow in each box.
The rear silncer was also strange, in the it was a 3inch system, but the back box stepped down to about 2inch inside. It was not a quietening bung, the exhaust really was that small inside.

Saying that, I have also seen a Kakimoto system that was full 3" with no obvious restrictions, although it wasnt a Subaru.

Yes it's nice and loud with the HKS induction kit, i think it has the standard dump valve on which i'm not too keen on, it's like a rattling sound, i'd like a new one, but reading past e mails on Scoobynet it seems you need a certain amount of research into getting the right one to suit the induction kit?? Saying that my scoob pops and bangs now! Any comments?
