I have a standard UK spec MY00, now fitted with Prodrive ECU. I have also got a Prodrive metal Y pipe to fit under the intercooler but not the hoses. (I assume this is the same as an STI Y pipe, but as I've never seen one....)

My question is presumably I order the STI Samco hoses, if so is it the STI5 or 6 that I need

Eh? Not sure Prodrive ever supplied a metal Y-pipe. The PPP upgrades used to include the one-piece Samco one.

Anyway, on the assumption that the pipe you've got is the STi one, it doesn't matter whether you order the bits for the STi5 or 6, the design is the same. Should be three bits of silicone. Turbo to Y-pipe, and 2 x Y-pipe to I/C.

Greasemonkey, cheers for the info, I thought there would be a difference between the two for some reason.

I am pretty sure the metal Y pipe is standard prodrive kit, part of the PPP package, thats what the seller told me, I got it with the ECU, and I'm sure I've read about it on here.

Still not that it matters as long as I get the right Samco's

Prodrive did supply a metal Y-piece with their PPP kits, but this is just the same part fitted to STI's. You can buy the original Y-piece for around £150 or get one from a Subaru breakers.

I think you need the same kit as STI 5&6 from Samco. Part number is TCS144 (the TCS143 kit is for the UK cars that needs the y-piece replacement).

Here's a pic of the kit I think you would need:-
