Just recently bought a 1999 UK Turbo, and want to get to work straight away!

Anyone have a Scorpion turbo-back system?? Looking for opinions about sound, power etc.

They seem reasonably priced at just over 400 pound for a turbo back system.

Many thanks!!!

I got one of those mate. Really good system useful power gain when used with decent filter or induction kit. Makes all the right noises too especially when you drive it hard.

I don't suppose you know what they sound like compared to a Mongoose Full System??

The reason I am asking is because my brother had the Mongoose on his WRX and it was nice enough sounding, but it was quite a soft but loud sound, where as, I am looking for something a bit more crisp.

How much did you're Scorpion cost???

Thanks!!!

I had a scoobysport Downpipe mated to a scorpion centre and backbox. IIRC the centre was £60 and the box was £180. The downpipe cost £190 but is much better IMO than the Scorpion DP.

My opinion on this system is...
I ran the above on my WRX for about 6 months until i changed the centre and back box for a blitz Nur spec. I was soooooo dissapointed when i got the Blitz, the scorpion was more of a bark or roar, whereas the blitz was more of a drone.
On light cruise and idle the scorpion was nowhere near as loud as the blitz, but on boost!!!!!! OMFG! it was mental!

Very good value for money IMHO

Rob

Not too sure about the Downpipe design though..

scorpion exhausts are LOUD , i had a full scopion exhaust on a cav turbo and its was much louder than my prodrive exhaust on my impreza, when you thru an under pass you really got a shock at how loud the thing was

Echo the above comments.
I had one on my now departed Type RA, full de-cat system with a H.S down pipe.
Quiet ish on cruise and tick over, boot it and it was, shall we say, head turning material.
I never realy knew until i let the mrs boot it up the road outside the house one nite, i thought, **** me, that sounds awsome.
The only neg comment is that the rear box is a little on the large side. Apart from that, very good finish, build and fit.
Think i paid around 320 quid for it a couple of years back.
Recomended!

Might investigate getting an alternative downpipe then.

Anyone know of any other manufacturers (apart from Scorpion and Mongoose) of a full turbo back, de-cat system at a price of circa. 400-450 pounds???????

Cheers!!!!
