Just fitting a Subaru aircon kit (new) I bought from a Subaru specialist - does anyone know about how much oil (PAG100 I think it is) needs to go in the system. One aircon specialist I spoke to said he would just add refridgerant as the oil was already in the compressor, however another one said he would add a few hundred millilitres. Now a search on the internet reveals the total system should have about 8 oz (210 ml) but I have turned the Zexel DKV compressor upside down and turned it and only 15 ml came out - so surely when it is gassed the whole 8 oz needs to go in?

Any ideas - the aircon specialists should know but just checking anyway

Ian

I'm no expert Ian, but I had an old Sovereign once and had to refill the A/C system completetely. The guy who did it who knows his stuff said it must have the correct amount of oil in it. The pump must be lubricated properly after all.
