I have installed the BackupExec remote agent on a Windows NT4.0 server and every evening after the backup has run there is a log file in C:\Winnt\System32 called ndmp.log file that grows at about 40MB per day. Is there any way to stopping this file from growing?
Currently I have to stop the Backup Exec remote agent service and then delete the file and then restart the service again.
There must be a better way.
Any ideas? I am still looking though numerous Veritas support links

Hmm, I have to admit I haven't seen this file before. If I have time I will take a look at ours.
If you can't get this solved easily then just create a scheduled batch file to run every night/morning that stops the service, delete/archive the file and restart the service.

Had a look on a few of our servers and can't find that file on any of them.
Did a quick search of the net and it mentions that file only appears when the remote agent is in debug mode. There isn't much info about and I'm not sure how to disable debug output.

I found this link on goolge. This is the same problem but there is no resolution
The problem must be related to having the main BackupExec Server product installed on our Novell 5.1 server and then having the remote agent on an NT4.0 server. The guy in the google post has the same problem with the same infrastructure.
Still looking
