Building a Web page for a beginner...help??

Can anyone reccomend any books that will help me build a basic web page??
Got 50mb of Web space sitting there doing nothing so i thought i would have a go at using it
Any help would be great

Get hold of a copy of Dreamweaver or failing that, use Frontpage and become familiar with some basic concepts.
HTML for Dummies would be a good place to start if you plan to code entirely.
Alteratively, I've seen a book in WH Smiths about Web Design which looks rather good and contains a copy of Dreamweaver MX I think for temporary usage.
If you're canny, get a code off a serial site to make it registered, but I wouldn't know about these things....... (Disclaimer)

Dreamweaver is great. HTML for Dummies is good but I am not sure that most people need to know html coding in detail as Dreamweaver and Front Page do that for you. However HTML for Dummies will teach you all of the basic concepts.

dreamweaver is good. you can download a 30day trial from www.macromedia.com and a tutorial is included.
