Question

update on coolant prob well i did the test and YES it looks like a cracked cylinder liner or head gasket failure!!.. . :-(

there is a load of bubbles when the engine warms up and than stops well the fans kick in and starts again when the fans stop!.
i feel bad now but can some one tell me how much it may cost?.. .

is it a big job and what sort of parts will i need? money again!!.. . i feel pi@@ed i had the engine rebuild only 8000 miles ago about 8 months for £3500 crank and pinsons all seals new ect.. .

o well

thanks again!!.. .

probably head gasket failure

can be caused by detonation killing the gaskets, if you already had it rebuilt and you haven't had it checked out mapping wise, you might have a lucky escape from completely dead engine.

if it's just a gasket I would budget around £700 to get it sorted by a garage. But if it was detonation that killed the gaskets, you may have damaged pistons etc.

Do you have any confidence that it's running det free?
