HI just fitted a fuel cut defender, as ive fitted a boost controller, my car is a my94 wrx-sti does any one know the std, starting poit settin for this item and this car, cheers, mark

Start on high number and work down until it no longer fuel cuts in top gear, then turn it down one more. Don't go excessively or you will over-advance the ignition.

Position 9 drops the voltage by about 0.3-0.4 V in the business area at 4V which corresponds to about 3-4 PSI, this is on a later MAP sensor though, but gives you an idea.

Check for detonation (with continuous in car monitoring), AFR, charge and EGTs or you will be looking at a very expensive engine rebuild in not a very long time.

Use the highest possible octane you can.

ok thanks well at the mo the car wont go above 8 psi and om not sure what to bo with all the old pipes off the old boost controller and map sensor area, at the mo the one,s ive disconnected are all blocked, and all the original wires are connected, car isnt building boost even with evc-5 turned off .so i needed to make sure i had the fcd in a safe adjustment, as i cant get to std psi to check its cut off, ,reset ecu ?
