Hi
I have noticed a clonking noise on my P1 when i change gear on the bite of the clutch.I took it to my local subaru who said It is just backlash in the axle nothing to worry about.
Does this sound right?

There is a flat rubber pad on the front gearbox mounting. If this pad is missing or has broken up, it will cause a nasty clonk as you let the clutch in after changing gear.
