After my car's thirst for new parts, I now have acquired another problem

From idle my car is rough feeling, also smells a lot more of fuel from the exhaust gases. Almost feels like it's choking up.

When you pull away as gently as possible it feels choked up(doesn't splutter or missfire), it feels sort of flat and bunged up. If you floor it or rev it up when pulling away from stand still it seems okay, still not 100%, but better.

On the move, above 2000rpm it seems okay, just when pulling away and driving below 2k rpm.

What new part/parts do I need now?

LOL

If I had that sort of 'new part' money it wouldn't be going on an sti8, looks like they based it on one of those minature r/c cars you can get

What year?

I suspect the lambda sensor in the exhaust. When they go wrong, they can cause the car to over fuel...

Another possibility is the temperature sensor under reading, so the ECU still thinks the car is cold, and keeps the fuelling rich.

Probably deltadash / select monitor etc would help diagnose?
I can probably do something along these lines for pre97 cars now.

It's a 94 WRX

Temp sensor was changed last year, lambda sounds favourite, luckily I've already loosened it off
