Just tried fitting the magnex centre section and the bolts to the downpipe don't seem to fit. The bolts don't have enough thread to compress the spring to close the gap between the centre pipe and downpipe. Has anyone used the magnex fitting kit before or have had any problems?

 

Is the big metal O ring still attached to the downpipe?, might be worth checking as it could still be in the old center section.

 

There was no metal o ring. Just the olive gasket.

 

I had this problem last weekend. I just had to squeeze the spring hard enough to get enough of the bolt thread through to start the nut. The other weird thing is that the head of the bolt isn't really big enough to cover the whole spring but it seemed to do the job in the end.
