Prob. been asked a thousand times but with oil and qty for gearbox and diff ???

What MY? For 99/00 book says should be 3.2 litres (it's a little more IME) for the gearbox, and 0.8 litres for the rear diff. Make sure the box is filled right to the top hole on the stick.

As to what to use, many here say good things about Castrol Syntrax. Never tried that, but Mobil 1 SHC 75/90 is full synth and works fine, gearchange is much better than the stuff that was in the car when I bought it.
