Why are the 1/4 mile times @ Santa Pod respected more than those at York ?

Just wondering if I should go to York or not or stick to Santa Pod

Isnt Santa Pod an FIA Approved drag racing circuit so it would have to meet their regulations standards. I dont know if York is.
