With our lurvely weather at the moment I am using aircon a fair bit in MY93 WRX. However, when the air con kicks in (i.e the fans are used to assist) I can really feel a drain in the power - the car almost lurches forward once the aircon clicks off. Is this usual as I am aware that aircon can be the cause of low mpg but this feels a little worrying when driving along ?? I can watch the volt metre too and a constant 14 volts - once the click of the aircon comes on it drops right down to 12.5 volts - at this point the cars power is drained. Is this usual or may I have something wrong ??
