ECU from Prodrive Performance Pack for UK MY94-MY96. Safetly boosts power by between 15-20%, but much increased mid-range.

£225ono or £150 with your ECU.

(Also have K&N panel filter to go with it)

Cheers,

Andy

WRX,
the MY94-96 cars had a different turbocharger to the MY97-98 cars, thus no it wont work on your car

Jav - nice talking to you today. As I said the PPP ECU is really only for UK cars. Since you've got an Sti I would wait till you get your FMIC and either get a custom remap or Link ECU.

James - if your interested the ECU is still for sale

Cheers

Hi

I have a UK MY95 with full Magnex decat exhaust and K+N induction kit

Stupid question - but what difference will this make to my car?

Cheers

Paul,

difficult to say, but looking at other peoples dyno readings you would probably expect to get 250-260bhp with a full decat incl. downpipe when using a PPP. So similar to 94 spec Jap WRX.

Do you know what your getting at the moment?

Simon - not too sure I understand the question. I think the ECU was from an N reg MY96 - but I couldn't be 100%. I've had it fitted in my MY95 UK for the best part of a year.

Just picked up my new Scoob - a MY98 estate. Can't believe how much slower it feels than my old car with PPP. In 3rd gear over 3500rpm the PPP car feels awsome while the MY98 feels quite quick. I know the newer car is slightly more refined, but I'd like to get an AP22 performance meter on them both!

There are cheaper (and more expensive) routes to increasing the power on an older UK car than using the PPP. However, after now doing a back-to-back comparison I would say the PPP is good value for money and also an easy fit & forget solution.

Cheers,

Andy

Damian,

sorry I don't know anything about the Mines ECU, maybe someone can help? The PPP is not going to give you ultimate bhp, your much better off going for a Link ECU or Unichip. PPP will give good boost to top end and big boost to mid range.

Andy

PS. unless your into drag racing, the best way to see of a Cav turbo is to uprate your suspension and find a roundabout or twisty road, then you will murder it.

Increases boost (13-14psi??), modified fuel & ignition map. As far as safety, it's the only aftermarket ECU that Subaru will still offer waranty on - so one can probably assume it's VERY safe and is a fit and forget solution.

The ECU I have will only fit MY94-96 cars and is only worthwhile on UK (or older WRX waggons that were only 240bhp). If you're nearby pop round and you can got for a blast in my car to see if there's any benefit.

Cheers

Sorry guys. At moment Mark has first dibs, but presently trying to souce a UK ECU for a good price to make the sale worthwhile. If I can't do that then the ECU will just get sold with the car

To be honest, if anyone can offer me the p/x I'd be happy. Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,

Andy

A V7 or a 7D would be the UK one you need.
A 6D would also be the same, but probably on a left handed base plate, as this is a european version, running the same code.
