Have found an up-pipe for sale anybody know how much they cost to fit and r they worth it? also do you have to put new gaskets in?

They are a bit of a pig to fit so i have heard, i.e most likly new gaskets, turbo needs to come out so does downpipe and intercooler i think...

Had a magnex up pipe fitted last week, cost was £80 to fit but that included a roll of lagging material and a heatshield fitted over my decat downpipe. Overall, worth it! car feels smoother on and off boost.

 

New gaskets are a must. You don't want to go back to a leak on this ba$tard!

Unless you have access to a lift or a pit, I'd get someone else to do it.

New age or classic?
If its a new age, the easiest way to the up-pipe is by removing the d/p and all associated gubbins and lifting the engine slightly (after slackening the mounts) then no need to remove the turbo etc. Really need a ramp though

 

Dint think there was ment to be much of a gain with the classic shape as it is more or less a staight pipe standard. Changing the pipe wont be too easy either!
