I know this has been asked a thousand times before,my STI7 goes in for its 20000 service next week and i want to supply my own better oil can anyone recommend a real good quality oil for this car? Thanks in advance.

how many litres will i need?

 

Mobil 1 Motorsport 15-50 is more widely available, my car uses about 6 litres of oil normally, which means buying two 5 litre bottles from Halfords and keep the spare for the next oil/filter change.

 

5 - includes filter.
Be sure that they do not fill it over the upper mark. Check before you leave the garage.

Whoops!! cheers STI i did mean motul,been to halfords they got castrol and mobil there!!

 

Thanks for everybodys advice,gone for motul 300v 10/40 from domon tweeks,thats the one motul recommend for the impreza turbo.

 

My STi7 is due for a 20k service very soon.

How much roughly is this service ?

 

was quoted £200,+ defis being fitted+ prodrive driving lights,just the service is £200-the cost of the oil as im supplying my own,oh and £70 for the body service at one year old.
