Morning all, I think I have a problem looming and wondered if any one could help out.
I have bought an unregistered wrx, it came into the country in march. It was first registered in Japan in July 93, our registration laws state that if a vehicle is over 10 years old it does not require an SVA test, However they do need some proof of the year of manufature,letter from Subaru or something along those lines. I dont think the service record with the first registration date will do!
Any ideas?

Check out www.sidc.co.uk and look under faq.
There are lists of chassis numbers giving year/model etc (so hopefully that should give you proof of age).

There is a little white label on the bottom of the drivers side seat belt which also has a date on it.

You can also tell the manufacture date of every piece of plastic on your car, like the ashtray or any simple cover.
There ought to be a little circle calender with the makeyear and month on it (usually at the back)
