Thumbs up

Hi all, potentially I pick up my first Scoob tomorrow lunch time.
MY99 `v` reg in DGM. I say potentially because it rests on my mechanics report.
I checked the car out at the weekend for panel alignment and checked the shock mounts and floor pan for creasing and rippling and it seemed ok.
is there anything that we should be looking for specifically, its friday night at 9.30 so im not expecting much action, but if you can help me that would be great, the only mod is that its got 17" prodrive alloys and p-zeros, other than that its standard.
60k miles, Fsh, from a car dealer who allegedly drives one himself.

Andy.

You didn't say where you were though call me on 01245 363623 and I'll give you some pointers if you are in the south east drop in and I'm sure I can get a qualified mechanic to look at it for you

just read your email on optimax. Make sure you put your foot down in fourth and fifth and listen for the tell tale sound of detting (pinging noise) Ask the guy what fuel hes been running it on! That will give you an idea of whether or not hes bothered about protecting the engine.

aaahhhhh, my first scooby, and believe me its love, see general for the nitty gritty but had to pop back in and thank you all for the advice.
one point tho, had to get home on SUL, then had to fill up on SUL but want to make the switch to Optimax, just fill up as normal, or carry out some comp[lex task???

If its UK then you can run it on 95 if you like. Optimax is better, but neither will harm it. It will take the ECUa while to adjust to using optimax, or you can just reset the ECU.

Some people on here get really hung up on "oh ****, im low on fuel and I can't find any optimax" like it was the end of the world Logging on from their onboard laptops

Dont believe the hype
