Do you hear any knocking sound?

You probably have a vacuum leak on the inlet pipe or something. Its happened to me before. Them 90 degrees rubber thing doesnt last long and I used duck tape in my old car.

my car is behaving very funny today, and i really need it for tonight as im going away.

it has a slight lack of responce to the engine, it also has a 'rock' at idle, the engine searched slightly and looks like it runs on 3, however it seems to be running on all cylinders. This is confusing me to hell. there doesnt seem to be anything mechanically wrong, it runs and wont brake down, just its not quite 100% right...

anyone have any ideas??

If its the idle is wandering we cured me misses My00 problem with brake cleaner as is was just a dirty MAF sensor still happened from time to time but generaly sorted & it cheap to do, hasnt happened since fitting an itg panel filter

Take the top off the air filter get it so you can see down the intake you will see the sensor run the engine hold at 3000rpm and apply a short 2sec spray of brake cleaner idle for 30ish secs repeat twice more.

Hope this helps

Tim

i seem to have cured it. the oxygen sensor wires had touched the manifold and two of the three had melted together. i have seperated these and re-wired. It all seems OK now.
