Talking

For the last three years before I bought my Scoob I had averaged 4,000 miles per year in my old 1.1 fiesta. So, when I bought the Scoob back in July, I asked for a policy with an annual milage of under 6,000.

I have just had to call them to get it raised to 16,000 based on having already exceeded subsequent 12,000 limit in nine months

I just can't stop driving the damn thing

Anyone else have the same problem

Thumbs up

I know what you mean, I live in the city during the week and really only get to drive my scoob on weekends when Im back in my local town, but the amount of miles Ive managed to run up in the past 6 months is now getting past the silly stage

I did just a shade over 10,000 miles in the 12 months i had my astra coupe, so when i got my scoob on contract hire, i thought 10K/year would be fine, as to go up to 14K was quite an increase in the £notes each month.

I'd done 5,000 miles in just over the 1st 3 months.

Going to have to get something else for running about in i think.

John.

ps - just curious... do scoobs have speedo cables? the astra didn't & took speed from the abs sensors.

Speedo comes from the ECU thats how the speed limiter works on the imports. The ECU detects 180kph and stops. The kph/mph converter box can be put before the ECU effectively turning it to mph and changing the limiter to 180mph
