Can anyone give me any information on a Legacy Rs, a mate is looking at a L reg, and the current owners says it's got twin turbo's and about 240 bhp.

 

93/94 was the year of change between single & twin turbo, simple way to check just pop the bonnet & if its a twin turbo you can see both turbos, one each side of the intercooler. 240bhp sounds about what a 94 should be. This was also the change over year of body style & if its the 94-98 style it should be twin turbo.

 

All single turbo JDM Legacys belong to the 1st generation. From 2nd generation onwards, it's twin-turbo. Japan got their 2nd generation from 1993 onwards, so the L-reg should be the 2nd generation one.
Those cars should have 250ps as standard.
