Anyone know it??

Is it easy to use?? I want to draw something for some cnc work...

can I just scan the flat item in?? Surely there is an easy way?

I use AutoCAD for drawing houses. It's not the easiest thing to pick up and use but it's the industry standard so we're stuck using it.

As for scanning in, not entirely sure what you mean but you can insert a raster image (tif, jpg, bmp) and draw over the top of it.

 

Post a picture of the object you want to draw in Autocad and i'll let you know if its hard or not. or e-mail it to me with the dimensions.
Does depend if it is 2D or 3D as well. Solidworks is much easier to us.

David, I use Microstation. Much easier to use IMHO. If you want you can e-mail me a sketch with the dims on and I will draw it for you if you want.

I can save the file then as a dxf.

I learnt the basics of the light version in about a week, and actually quite enjoyed it, then I went down to the CAD department of where I was working and and saw the kinda stuff they were doing

 

iv got a autocad learning disk. it teaches you to use it. i can do you a copy if you wish. just mail me or i can have a go for you.
