Thumbs up

Hello,

My car is an MY99 and I get about 210 miles from a tank of Optimax. I'm sure I could get more, but then I could always buy a fiesta!

Things I would check for are that the disks and tyres are in good nick. You don't want to fork out for new stuff as soon as you buy it! You'll need all your money for petrol!

Mechanically speaking, i've had no problems to speak of............. yet!

A good starting point is http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm
Then have a read of the tech forums here.

Do the usual things that you would for a fast car - HPI check is a must, look at the panel gaps carefully for signs of accident damage etc, make sure there is a bit of history with it etc...

Added - I get about 250 miles to a tank full, but then my weekday driving is at 30 or 40 mph... I have been known to get 300 to a tank full on the motorway.
