was drivin 2day doin bout 90 in 5th...dropped the speed for a corner and put it in to 4th....as the gear ratios as so close together it went in to 2nd..get round the corner and accelerate..nothin..whats goin on here i thinK? pulled over tried every gear wnt go in any...when started with the clutch released it jumps forward... as it would do if u started the car in 1st gear..but wnt go in to gear at all... Any ideas? any help appreciated..cheerz..1998 impreza terzo..33k

 

sounds like you've selected 2gears at the same time or two of the gears have "welded" themselves together on the output shaft...........either way its a gearbox strip job!!
last one we did that had similiar problem had 2nd & 3rd gear welded together!!

yeah jus had it at the garage they said it sounds like its 2 gears stuck together...strip it 2morow and find out..notin 2 serious hopefully..life aint d same when u driving a 1.1 corsa..
