in second and third gear I pull like a train up to 5k then hit a massiv flat spot between 5-7k then hit a little surge of power before having to change. Just had the plugs done so its not that. any ideas?

fit an after market down pipe, mine really pulls now from 5k all the way to the red line.

still got the problem though

got scoobysport exhaust system, D.wallis ECU and loads of other things that make it go fast, I'm wondering if the mapping might be out coz I put the middle cat back on?

I have thought about the coil packs and will be checking/changing them soon, just wondered if it was anything else just so I don't get to disheartened if that doesnt work

 

I'm afraid it sounds like the typical impreza turbo.

I used to drive a 300zx twin turbo. It didnt stop pulling and pulling and pulling. Well you get the point.

Since i got this wrx it feels like game over after about 5000 revs. I'm trying all the mods under the sun to get this one sorted. Decatted zorst is good for starters!!!
