I don't have air con on my car, so I am seriously considering moving the power steering reservior to the space next to the alternator, to allow more space for a custom inlet

Has anyone done this, I'm just looking for some tip's realy, or experiences.

Scott

Hi Scoty.
I removed the charcoal canister, t'd the pipes together and vented to atmosphere (instead of into inlet pipe) to make space. Bought polished ali (mmmmm nice !!) Bailey Cosworth PS reservoir from Burtons at Gants hill (about £80). This bolts onto the earth bolt for the o/s headlights (if you put a few packing washers in) - Fits like it was designed for it !!!
Need to make the take off flange/pipe from the bottom of the original reservoir where it bolts to the pump (cut it out and machine the edges so it looks professional) and "weld" a pipe (as big dia as poss) to it at a suitable angle. 2 pipes and job done. Autopoint Thetford did mine in about 2-3 hours start to finish. Any reliable "competition garage" (who race/rally their own cars) could do it if you haven't the facilities.
Good luck !
Stan

(BIG thanks to Harvey for idea of using space of charcoal canister and using the old res for the flange !!)
