Clear Indicators Stolen - AGAIN!!!
I have just had the indicators stolen from my MY93 WRX for the second time this month in Gosport!!
last time see this thread http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=182855
The ones stolen this time were smoked ones - interestingly the front fog light covers were not taken although they had to unscrew one corner of them in order to remove the indicators. Makes me think that maybe they were stolen for another type of car!!
Is anyone aware if classic Impreza indicators fit any other cars!!
I would also be grateful to hear from anyone who has ordinary orange indicators that they took off when they put clear ones on as I need my car for work and I think that going back to orange will mean they are of no interest to the scumbags!
Please let me know if you are offered smoked indicators for classic Impreza this week around Gosport, Fareham, Southampton, Portsmouth.
I am aware that someone else had his classic clear indicators stolen in Fareham recently!!! Looks like a little bit of a pattern!!!

Why not try a bolt and nut stockist from Yellow pages for some security-type bolts, preferably in stainless? Or even Screwfix? They are avaiable in various types, and will deter the chance thief, if not the pro.

A tip I learnt just a short while ago, fill the screw heads with solder after you screw them in. You can always melt it out if you have to remove them. Then fit razor blades under the scoop etc etc to cut the ******* fingers off

thanks for all the ideas - am definitely going to go for the hex screws as that will also secure my fog lamp covers - solder idea also sounds good!!
Gotta say almost fell of my seat laughing at the razorblade idea - however the best one i've heard yet was suggested by one of our fine boys in blue (traffic) as he sympathised with me and admired the car!!
"wire it to the mains when you park it - that'll sort the b*ggers"
am awaiting word from local constabulary regarding the print they found - the lowlife probably has a record if they stoop to this sort of action - hope they nail him!!!
