Anyone know if the 4.5inch backbox advertised on the Hayward and Scott site is the same as the 4.5inch Afterburner backbox sold by Scooby World (but made by H&S). Or are they actually different products?

They are very different products, our Afterburner (made for us by H&S) features a polished round rear silencer with the weld mark between silencer and tailpipe removed, finished with a 4.5" tailpipe (with various options such as Titanium, Carbon Fibre etc). The Hayward & Scott 4.5" rear silencer is an oval box.

I can say that the After Burner exhaust is very well made and I am very happy with the back box. Be warned though..if you have a full decat...it's loud

wendy, knowing exhausts like you sound like you do, how much effort would it take to put a magnex back box from a my98 on a my01. they look visibly like the same fitment. regards in advance. cliff.

 

Juggernaut, the hangers are different on the New Age car so they would need to be removed and repositioned - best contact Magnex to see if they can do that?
