Any one care to speculate what proportion of cars on the road are modded for increased performance ?

From reading the technical and drivetrain forums, it seems that a lot of Imprezas have quite a few mods; so much so that I expect to see plenty of these things on the road; though looking at the dealer forecourt, a lot of them still have standard backboxes; which is surprising.

People I talk to at work also tend to get work done on their cars, chipped TTs with Porsche brakes, uprated Speedsters, etc.

Should I expect a good proportion of performance vehicles on the road to be breathed upon ?

depends on what you call modded, afterall, if a car has non oe tyres on it, it could be deemed as modified!
