Is the prodrive backbox as fitted for PPP for the MY02 wrx the same as the sti one?

Looking at swapping the standard backbox on the sti7 for my prodrive one that was supplied as part of the PPP.

Posted on general technical but no response

Thanks

Don't know the answer but curious about the question? Have you changed your WRX for a STI 7 ?

Yep.

Been looking at modds for a while. Ideally wanted rear spoiler, morrettes etc. Also wanted more power so looked at decat but like you I really need the warranty.

Sooooo.I was bored on friday and surfing the net when I found an sti7 with 6k on the clock, full prodrive kit with anthracite powder coated wheels - 2 1/2 years left of warranty.

I made the mistake of driving it. Was nowhere near as stiff as I thought it would be and was most certainly quicker than my MY02+PPP

So, dealer says £4k and its yours -trip to the bank, job done. I don't feel that I've lost out as I bought my MY02 for £18,000 and this particular sti7 cost £28,000 6 months ago. Now is a very good time to buy one (I had to persuade the missus first)

Don't get me wrong though, everyone at work thinks I'm crazy

WRX/STi PPP backbox is the same and will bolt straight onto your car, will also keep your warranty intact.

Sounds like a good plan - I've not overcome my warranty fears with full de-cat or other such mods. Adding the prices together then you've got a pretty cheap STI 7.

Hope you enjoy it

Forgot to add - next plan surely must be PPP for the STI....and forget changing the exhaust!
