i have noticed that scoobys seem to have 2 different aerial mountings. at first i put this down to different years, but i have got a pillar mount on my MY93, as has a customers MY93, as has another customers MY98 and anothers MY99.

yet a mate has got a MY95 and its boot mounted. all are meant to be jap imports.

so whats happening here? its not a replacment on the back as the pillar is untouched and i have seen a few like this.

is it UK/JAP thing, or maybe something else?

Wasn't it the STi old shapes that had them mounted on the left side of the boot. I'm looking at a photo of one now (from last years Tour D'Ecosse ), which is beside a UK car, same year with it on the roof.

So there you go

The STi's was on the boot incase it wasn't clear

Can't help, I'm afraid, but I've always been curious about whether the boot aerials are motorised... The standard door frame jobbies are perfectly placed for manual 'use'.
