Hi all,

after 12 months of Mini (the wife's) ownership I'm back in the "rally-special" scene having finally just found a new job (had to sell MY99Sti to pay bills when my biz went bust some 18 months ago).
I'm currently shopping and have been to a recent gathering in Italy where I've seen the new MY03 ..... which proceded, with just a new aftermarket backbox (!) to pump out 240hp on a VERY reliable+tried+tested dyno.
Add to that the new looks and improved ride+handling and I'm about to head down to the local dealer for a september delivery.....except for a niggly doubt: VW R32. I still think the new new WRX looks the biz (with an STI rear wing) and must have some serious go with 240hp (with just a new backbox), so that will be my choice in the end, but I will test the R32.
Anyway, anyone with a MY03 and freer backbox care to comment on power + sound gains?

Id be waiting for the ecutek, and a scoobysport bb and mid section, bet that would be half the price and even more performance.

 

wall, what was the power at the wheels as the fly power means nothing ?
