Important Message For People With New Short Motor/Engine

Good advice John
I am having mine changed 13th March, will make sure I get documents changed.

If you have had a new engine or short motor fitted to your car, have you changed the engine number on your V5 reistration document.
If the police stop you and check the details of your car, you could spend the night in the knick if you forgot to do this.

If you come to sell the car a buyer may walk away if the numbers dont match.

It is an offence to not inform the DVLA of any material changes on the car, the engine number is one of the most important!!

Had my engine changed end of last year due to piston slap and I did remember to change the log book. Good advive anyway.
