Today on my way to work my STi7 was rear ended by a Fiesta whilst I was queuing at some traffic lights. The impact was light (2-3 mph) and has chipped away the paint work on the rear bumper in several spots. On further inspection I noticed that rear bumper is slightly concave in shape just below the number plate, but I am unsure if this is accident damage or it is supposed to be this shape.

Could a fellow STi7 owner check their car to see if the the rear bumper is slightly concave or perfectly flat.

Lemmy,

The exact same thing happend to my STI7. The bottom is NOT suppossed to be concave and you will find that once the brackets that hold the bumper on have been straightend out the bumper should conform back into the original shape. I still have the small nicks where paint was scratched during contact but besides that the bumper looks good.

Good luck.

Cheers,
Ray

Thanks for both replies. Hopefully the bumper will straighten as Razor suggests. The repairs sound fairly simple, which will please the guy who hit me.
