Nope it won't fit, rear hangar needs to be moved an inch or so (can't remeber if back or forward though?)

Question

Is the hanger the only reason ?

In which case the bends, flanges etc are all in the right places ?

I fairly sure the hanger is the only reason

IIRC the hanger by flange is around the otherway and 25mm differing hieght

Cool

i did it the other way around, fitted my ss classic back box onto my sti whilst waiting for my ppp to arrive, bolts on to the mid section and hangs at the rear fine, middle hanger doesnt line up though, you could get it altered but i didnt bother, ran it for 1k no probs

Thanks for that, turns out that I had actually done this already with the standard box supplied by the dealer. I was told it was from a 99 but having since looked at the 99 it's the same as the 98, so the BB I was given must have been from newage I think. As you say, you just need to extend the hanger, by welding a new piece on top of the old one. This also sorts out this height difference or it did in my case.
Thanks for the confirmation.
