Can anyone recommend a good non-franchised Mercedes garage in the Abbots/Watford/Herts area? My dad is none too impressed with the main dealer in Bushey.

Failing that, there is a classic SL specialist in Wembley. Roger Edwards on 0208 902 3509. No experience of their work though.

 

Have you tried the main dealer at Harpenden (10mins north of St Albans), or are they the same as in Bushey?

Just a quick edit to give the name and details, Pinneys of Harpenden, Station Road, Harpenden, Herts AL5 4UY, Tel:01582 764 311. They stuck in my mind because even the showroom staff have been friendly and talkative there. I turned up in a **** car, and scruff clothes one day just to raid their brochure stand, and they treat me like a human being, must unlike every other Merc dealers I've been to. Answered all my questions and let me run off with armfuls of brochures and price lists.

Thanks chaps I'll pass the info on. Don't know about the one in St Albans, the Watford dealership is astronomically expensive and he's very unhappy with their level of service, he's been using them for the best part of 17 years now and finally had enough.
