The purpose of this is to prevent any hot air getting sucked into the induction kit.
From what I have been reading, I have found that hot air = more lag, and cold air reduces lag.
I used small sticky L shaped brakets to hold the partion onto the wing, so there is not much room now for hot air to be sucked in from the turbo, downpipe, or intercooler.
I used two 3 inch feeds from the front splitter, and routed them up through the inner wing. Also thinking about a third 2 inch feed from the front grill, and routing it throught the gap between the radiator and the radiator mounting braket.

What material is that? The sticky tabs - won't the heat in the engine bay melt the glue?

You need to make up a cold air duct to run from the orange grill that can be removed through some 90mm ID pipe to force feed the air box,

http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/msgofast/coldair.html

If you cut the pipe off at 80mm angle difference, like make one side 80mm shorter then heat and push it over the rear bar to shap it, i made a mould and is too easy.

Yip Ken, same idea m8

Swan, there wont be any heat in the filter side of the partition.
If any heat hits the partition from the engine bay, it's will bounce off the reflective aluminium foil and go somewhere else.
I dont think the sticky tabs will be an issue, but I'll keep an eye on them just in case

Thanks Michael,

I read about your cold air feed when I was reading about your downpipe splitter

I have taken one feed from the same place (where the small orange trainge wegie used to be) and one from the front splitter m8.

I did the feed too here never got round to boxing it in though.
NB duct from the front grill was taken out so as not to get water to the filter.......
