I'm just about to get a LINK ECU for a MY00 and though before getting it set up I would be better upgrading my turbo at the same time.

Its currently got a standard TD04 but I have been offered a reconditioned TD05H, can this be fitted without any modification and if so what sort of BHP could I expect with the Link.

Cheers

Scott

The TD05 can be fitted if it is converted to front entry.

If you have a decat and a full exhaust system with a fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator you could get up to about 340 BHP with a TD05, but for lots of safety you would be better running it just over 300 BHP IMHO. With larger injectors, FMIC, uppipe and induction pipe/kit you could get 380 BHP potentially, but your transmission would fall to bits, and the engine reliability would be dubious for the long term, would be much better at 350 BHP. A knocklink would be a very good idea.

Thanks John,

Its not been converted to front entry yet, any ideas where could I get it done and how much is it likely to cost?

Mark Aigin at Lateral Performance Ltd, also Andy Forrest previously had some covers made up. I suggest the former if the turbo is needing a rebuild/recondition, the latter if it is already rebuilt/reconditioned or you are happy to take the risk.

The turbo's just been reconditioned, so do you know how I could get in touch with Andy?
