I just fitted an "Afterburner" tail pipe, the sound is awesome, just like the luvly Wendy said it would be, but the in car noise is a bit much for me.

Its not that bad, but i would like to dampen it a bit.

I think its reverb through the boot, what can I put under the boot carpet to dampen the noise a touch ?

My local carpet shop has underlay offcuts, thought i might give that a try ?

P.S. The afterburner is an awesome pipe !

When i unpacked it, the end look huge, but once fitted it looked just right, definately recommended.

The carpet would probably work!
Take a trip to the ICE forum and ask about sound deadening. I'm sure Chiark will point you in the right direction.
